Leo Carlsson's success continues. The star forward – now fourth in the NHL's scoring rankings – was named player of the match as Anaheim won against Los Angeles after a penalty shootout.

Leo Carlsson had a goal and two assists for Anaheim. In the ninth minute, he set up teammate Chris Kreider for a goal. A few minutes later, he contributed an assist in the 2-2 tie.

In the final minutes of the third period, Carlsson scored once again, this time as a goal scorer, and tied the game at 4–4, which turned the match into a penalty shootout.

Carlsson initiated the shootout, but was unsuccessful. In the end, it was teammate Mason McTavish who decided the match to win 5–4.

Leo Carlsson is fourth in the NHL's scoring league with 33 points (13+20).
