In addition to Lena Olin, Jonathan Pryce also plays a major role in the new series, as Henrik Vanger - a role played by Sven-Bertil Taube in the original film adaptation. Other cast members include James D'Arcy, Camille Cottin and Alun Armstrong, Deadline reports.
It was already known that David Oyelowo and Viola Prettejohn will play Mikael Blomkvist and Lisbeth Salander, respectively. According to British media, the new TV series will explore the Vanger family in more depth than the films did, including more family members and background.
The series will air in eight episodes on Sky. Filming has already begun in Lithuania.
