Leksand Reports 18.3 Million Kronor Loss for 2024/25 Season

Already earlier this year, Leksand has appealed for help with its economy, and among other things, submitted an application to the municipality to "extend the existing guarantee commitment and to extend the rental agreement regarding the arena".

And despite the club now reporting a deficit of 18.3 million kronor, they write on their website that they will not need to take advantage of the municipality's outstretched hand.

"The solidity amounts to 15 million kronor and Leksands IF meets the licensing board's requirements for solidity and liquidity. This also means that the association will not need to take advantage of the extended guarantee promise from the municipality during 2025", writes Leksand on its website.

Leksand has long had it tough economically and the million loss is according to the club "in line with the prognosis".

"We have been self-critical, drawn important lessons and have already begun a comprehensive change work. This is a responsibility we take very seriously", continues Wiklund to the club's website.

Leksand finished in eleventh place in SHL the previous season.
