The series, which is shown on Prime Video, follows main character Elle Woods through her high school years before she starts Harvard - it precedes the 2001 film "Legally Blonde".
In the film, which was followed by a sequel in 2003, Elle Woods is played by Reese Witherspoon. In the series, the role is played by Lexi Minetree.
“To share the story of how Elle Woods became the unstoppable force we all fell in love with 25 years after the world first met her is a dream come true,” said Witherspoon, executive producer of the series, in a press release.
"Elle" has already been renewed for a second season, Amazon announced.
