During the government's and the Sweden Democrats' time in power, Sweden has had the "dangerous combination" of low and dysfunctional unemployment insurance, poor labour market policy and low investment in the economy, Dadgostar emphasizes.
Sweden has half a million unemployed people and their security has been significantly weakened after the sharp deterioration of the unemployment insurance system that this government has implemented.
The Left Party wants to remove the reduction in unemployment benefits, including by indexing the ceiling so that it rises with wage growth and inflation. The price tag is estimated at 10-12 billion.
The party also wants to focus on investment and education to get the labour market moving.
