The newspaper has examined the party's representatives around the country and, among other things, revealed that several of them have praised Hamas, which is designated a terrorist organization, in various ways.
"We have been made aware of people who have shared content that goes completely against what the Left Party stands for. We have therefore, on our own initiative, removed nine candidates from municipal election lists in Örebro, Sävsjö, Eksjö, Växjö, Landskrona and Halmstad last week. The cases that have come to light in Helsingborg will be handled in a similar way," says the Left Party's party secretary, Maria Forsberg, in a written statement to TT.
