V also wants to give half a billion kronor to the student unions, among other things so that they can open closed rehearsal rooms.

A system change is needed, the government and the Sweden Democrats have slowed it down, says V leader Nooshi Dadgostar.

Overall, the package costs, according to V, around five billion, of which 1.5 billion will go towards increasing the grant component of the study funds by 500 kronor per month. The party also wants to invest one billion in "holiday supplements" in the study funds - for every ten-week period of study funds granted during the spring semester, one week's study grant will be paid in June.

V wants to spend half a billion on support for more youth housing and another half a billion to make dental care free for young people again.
