Then food giants, property owners and banks - fat cats, according to her - can continue their advance.

They have been given free rein to rob households, claims Dadgostar in her opening speech at the Left Party's congress in Örebro, where participants receive a chocolate coin wrapped in gold paper with the message "Tax the billionaires" on it.

Isn't it interesting that despite all the other parties going to the polls and saying they want to be in government, it is the Left Party's statement that is being questioned? , she wonders and adds:

Don't hand over

It seems that the votes of our voters can be handed over to the Center Party and the Social Democrats, as if they were going to freeze rents and shorten working hours.

The opening speech and the proposed election platform establish the V leadership's line that V intends to vote no to an S government or other red-green government that V is not allowed to be part of, even if it would open the way for continued bourgeois rule.

But several motions, from districts, associations and individuals, think that this is too high a requirement and want to change the wording of the election platform, which reads: "If our votes are needed to form a government, we will also be part of it. This means that we will not support or allow a government that we are not part of to emerge."

Critics believe that V can have an impact on policy as a supporting party and that it must be substantive politics, not ministerial positions, that is most important for the party and V voters.

New direction

Nooshi Dadgostar claims that it is about more than cabinet posts for V.

It's about the fact that without us there will be no new direction for Sweden - one that lowers prices and strengthens welfare, she says.

According to her, things have been going in the wrong direction for a long time, regardless of the color of governments - with widening class gaps and growing inequality.

She condenses some of the election messages into: "Freeze the rents! Lower food prices! Put an end to the banks' billion-dollar profits!"

However, she says that V is open to compromises in government.

But our voters' votes are not for sale. The mandate is to save welfare and households, she says.
