Basket star LeBron James is ready to break records in the coming season in NBA. And the 40-year-old refuses to put a final point to his basketball career.

I love this sport and I love playing at the highest level, says Los Angeles Lakers superstar who turns 41 years old in December.

He will be the first player to make 23 seasons in the NBA. Right now, he shares the record with Vince Carter, who just like LeBron James has made 22 seasons in the NBA. Carter finished in 2020.

Whatever lies ahead of me this season, I'm super motivated because I don't know when the end comes. But it's sooner rather than later, he says during the Lakers' media day before the season.

I love this sport, I love playing at the highest level. Age is just a number. Not many at my age, especially not before the 23rd season, can maintain the level I do. And I don't take it for granted.

LeBron James has made the most points in NBA history and has won four NBA titles.

Last season, he averaged 24.4 points per game.
