Three healthcare workers were killed and two injured in an Israeli attack on southern Lebanon. This is reported by the Lebanese health authorities.
The country's civil defense reports that "Israel struck a fire truck that had just completed an operation" in a village near the border with Israel.
The Israeli military, IDF, says in a statement that they shot down drones launched from Lebanon and then in an air strike targeted "military infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah" and with artillery fire shelled several locations in southern Lebanon.
Israel and the Iran-backed Shia militia Hezbollah have been shelling each other almost daily since the war in Gaza broke out last year.
According to AFP, 614 people have been killed on the Lebanese side, including 138 civilians. At the same time, at least 24 soldiers and 26 civilians have been killed in Israel.
