A person has been killed and four soldiers have been injured in an Israeli attack on southern Lebanon, according to the military.
"The Israeli enemy targeted a car near the military checkpoint Saf al-Hawa/Bint Jbeil, killing a citizen and lightly injuring four soldiers", says the Lebanese army in a statement.
A fragile ceasefire came into effect on November 27, after more than a year of escalation and war between Israel and the Islamist movement Hezbollah. The ceasefire has largely been upheld, but both parties have accused each other of repeated breaches of the agreement.
The agreement states that the Israeli military is to withdraw within 60 days and that Hezbollah is to move all its heavy weapons north of the Litani River.
