At the same time, Aoun said in a statement on Wednesday that Lebanon is waiting for the United States to announce a date for new direct talks between representatives of Israel and Lebanon.
Lebanon's military also said Israeli attacks had been directed at the country's soldiers and that one soldier had been killed.
Both Israel and the Iran-backed Hezbollah movement are carrying out military attacks, with both sides accusing the other of violating the agreed ceasefire.
