An Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon, about 30 kilometers from the Israeli border, killed three people on Thursday. Two more people, including a child, were wounded in a separate attack.
The day before, at least five people had been killed, including a regionally renowned journalist. Following the attacks, Lebanon accused Israel of war crimes.
Hezbollah responded by firing several projectiles into northern Israel. The shelling was said to be in response to Israel's attacks and to talks in Washington.
