Five people are being charged with stealing and reselling Pokémon cards and similar goods worth over one million kronor, reports P4 Malmöhus.

The league specialized in breaking into stores that sell Pokémon cards.

At the end of July, a store in Varberg was hit, and a week later an online store with a warehouse in Gothenburg was hit. The league then tried to sell the cards on Tradera from a smaller town in Helsingborg.

During a search of the house, the police found a large number of the cards in an attic. A man and a woman are now charged with aggravated theft and three others with receiving.

According to P4, the crime should be considered serious because the Pokémon cards have a significant value.
