Leaders of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland push for more autonomy from London

The leaders of the regions will meet in Wales on Monday to discuss how they should move forward together to seek more autonomy, and not least to hold a referendum on independence.

The three parts are indeed different, Rhun ap Iorwerth, leader of the Welsh separatist party Plaid Cymru, told the BBC. But, he says, they also have a lot in common.

As a pursuit of a different attitude from the government, he says.

All three parts of the country are more pro-EU than England, and in all three there is political concern about Nigel Farage's far-right party Reform UK.
