Finnish NBA star Lauri Markkanen made the match of his life when Utah Jazz defeated Phoenix Suns. Markkanen struck and made 51 points.

It is the first time in 27 years a Utah player does so many points, then it was the legend Karl Malone.

Markkanen's own personal best in NBA was 49 points.

I never thought that I would go for 50 points, but when it becomes an extension and you stand on 47 and they start doing foul, then you think that there is a good chance that it will happen, says Markkanen after Utah's victory with 138–134.

The 28-year-old Markkanen became the 97th player in NBA history to reach over 50 points and he went over the magical limit with two free throws with 1.9 seconds left of the extension.
