Oscar winner Laura Dern has had to pack her bags and head to France, where the fourth season of the acclaimed comedy-drama series is being filmed, writes Deadline.
Dern will play a new character written specifically for her by series creator Mike White.
Helena Bonham Carter dropped out a week into filming after it became apparent, according to production company HBO, that the character created for her "didn't fit the set."
