The defence group Saab has signed a framework agreement on deliveries of the RBS 70 NG air defence system to Latvia. An order within the agreement with an order value of 2.1 billion kronor has been placed, with deliveries 2026-2030.
"The order includes the RBS 70 NG system with accompanying fire units, robots and training systems", writes Saab in a press release.
According to Görgen Johansson, head of Saab's Dynamics business area, the RBS 70 NG – with automatic target seeker and built-in night sight – will strengthen the Latvian defence's ability to detect and counter airborne threats such as aircraft, drones and robots.
