Uusimaa is located on the northern coast of the Gulf of Finland and includes Helsinki.
Earlier in the night, a potential violation of Latvian airspace was reported.
In a post on X, the Ministry of Defense writes that the country's air defenses and NATO aircraft are now patrolling the airspace:
"As long as Russia's aggression against Ukraine continues, it is possible that similar incidents will occur."
Residents, especially in the eastern parts of the country, are urged to stay indoors and report suspicious drones.
