Sebastian Samuelsson blew his chance at a medal with his last two shots in the distance biathlon event at the Olympics. "It's a bit bittersweet," he said after finishing seventh.

When Samuelsson came in for the last shot, he had a chance of a medal after zero misses in the first three shots.

And then he missed the last two shots.

Nothing special happens, I think I'm doing the series well. But with each shot I realize what I'm shooting for and then it gets harder and harder and it's not enough all the way, he said.

It was a little bittersweet, but at the same time very positive. I knew this might be my worst chance. In that way, I'm okay with it.

Martin Ponsiluoma also started well, but missed his chance to win a medal in the third round. He finished ninth after three misses.
