On Saturday, the beloved dance band was supposed to play for dancing at Ettringstorps Loge in Boxholm, Östergötland. Now it's not happening.

"We are sorry to have to announce that the entire event on May 17 is cancelled. The decision is made due to circumstances we cannot influence", writes Ettringstorps Loge on its website, according to Expressen.

Lasse Stefanz has about 30 performances booked for the summer, how it will be with these is currently unknown. The band has stated that Christer Ericsson was struck by an acute illness during the concert at Skurup's folk park last Saturday and needs to recover.

Christer Ericsson, 72, joined Lasse Stefanz just a few years after its formation in 1967 and has written some of the dance band's most beloved songs, including "De sista ljuva åren", which was on Svensktoppen for 65 weeks in 1989-90.
