It has been clear for some time that Miami will play in the playoffs. The team is in tenth place in the Eastern Conference and, going into the final games, still had a chance at ninth place, which gives them home-court advantage.
In the penultimate match of the regular season, the team - and Pelle Larsson - made sure to keep the hunt for a better position alive.
Washington was defeated 140-117 and Larsson scored 24 points, the most on the team along with Simone Fontecchio, who, however, had more rebounds.
Miami faces Atlanta in the final regular-season game.
