Miami is seventh in the Eastern Conference and is eyeing a direct berth in the NBA playoffs, with 17 games left to play in the regular season.
Bobi Klintman's Detroit, meanwhile, is in a slump. The team still leads the Eastern Conference, but has now lost four straight games.
Klintman played four-and-a-half minutes against Miami, but managed to make a three-pointer and recorded two assists.
