The national basketball team came with the message with less than two hours to throw-up in the team's second European Championship match in Tampere.
"Simon and Pelle have both shown symptoms of illness that do not allow play today. Therefore, we have chosen to keep them out of today's squad", says the national team doctor Houman Ebrahimi in a statement.
Both Larsson, the squad's only NBA player, and Simon Birgander were in the starting five when Sweden lost narrowly to Finland in Wednesday's premiere.
Now Blågult have to keep their fingers crossed for a quick recovery. After the meeting with Germany – reigning world champions and clear favorites – the next match is already waiting on Saturday afternoon, against Great Britain.
The match against Germany starts at 12.30.
