"On the Shoulders of Others. Lars von Trier Curates" is the title of the exhibition, which includes works by Nordic artists such as Edvard Munch and August Strindberg, but also modern paintings directly connected to his films and a self-portrait from 1975.
The exhibition opens at Willumsens Museum outside Copenhagen this summer, before coming to Sweden this autumn.
Danish director Lars von Trier is best known for films such as "Breaking the Waves" and "Dancer in the Dark", as well as the television series "The Kingdom".
