A course rally for Oracle during the night has filled 81-year-old Ellison's wealth with 70 billion dollars (approximately 655 billion kronor), which has shrunk the distance to the world's richest man Elon Musk's wealth to about 20 billion dollars.

Oracle's course rally – which comes after a report with an unexpectedly positive AI forecast after Wall Street's closing on Tuesday – has lifted Ellison's total wealth to 364 billion dollars according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index. This can be compared to Elon Musk's estimated wealth of 384 billion dollars.

Musk – with Tesla, X and Space X in his empire – is facing what may become a shift in power, has been the world's richest man for over 300 days. He is since the turn of the year – after a turbulent political year – at a loss of 48.8 billion dollars.

Ellison's wealth has at the same time since the turn of the year increased by approximately 173 billion dollars.
