The operation was carried out in mid-November and targeted cash-intensive businesses. Hundreds of people were checked, several of whom were arrested on suspicion of money laundering, among other crimes, the police write on their website.
In addition, goods worth approximately five million kronor were seized.
"Through this type of joint effort, we clearly demonstrate that the authorities are working together to combat the criminal economy at all levels," says Fredrick Boström at the police in Region West.
