The operation began at 11 a.m. after a person reportedly called to say they had been the victim of a serious crime at the hotel. The police responded with several units.
The police have now searched the hotel without finding anything. Just before 12 p.m. there was still a large crowd at the hotel, and the alarm is still being investigated - but suspicions have weakened.
"Now we are working on another lead, that it is a false alarm," police spokesperson Mats Eriksson told Aftonbladet.
