"Sweden is facing one of its greatest challenges ever – children and young people who are both murdered and murdering. That is why people from all over the country are gathering in a common voice: Enough is enough!", the organizers write in a press release.
In addition to artist performances, there will be "dance, film, speeches and a joint light manifestation" whose purpose is to call for a society without gun violence.
The initiators include Susanne Yakes, whose 12-year-old daughter Adriana was shot dead while walking her dog, Aneta Demir, sister of Mikael who was murdered for her civil courage in front of her 12-year-old son, and Sebastian Stakset, who has lost many friends as a result of gang violence.
"Enough is enough! National rally for a society without gun violence" will be held at 3 Arena in Stockholm on January 31st next year.
