These include works by artists such as Ernst Billgren, Madeleine Pyk and Marie-Louise Ekman. According to the newspaper, these are artists whose works can sell for hundreds of thousands of kronor, up to millions, at auction.
"The affection is much worse than the lost values. Especially with artists who are no longer alive," Henning Hummerdahl, a gallerist at Galleri Hedenius, tells the newspaper.
Hummerdahl highlights the loss of around a hundred original works by Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd.
It is still unclear what caused the fire.
