Colorado managed to force a seventh and decisive quarterfinal against Dallas after turning it around in the third and finally winning 7–4, a performance where Gabriel Landeskog played a key role.

The home team was in trouble in the decisive match against the visitors. A bit into the third period, they were trailing 3–4 – a result that would have meant the end of the season for Colorado.

Then, team captain Landeskog stepped forward and assisted teammate Valerij Nichushkin, who scored the equalizer, the Swede's second assist in the match.

Three minutes later, Nathan MacKinnon scored 5–4, which made the arena explode.

Dallas pushed hard in the final minutes and pulled out the goalie, but it didn't work out. Instead, Colorado could score the two final goals in an open net.

Gabriel Landeskog has just returned after a multi-year injury layoff.

The final match, number seven, is played in Dallas late in the evening, Swedish time.
