Landeskog is also the captain of his NHL team, the Colorado Avalanche, which he has been with since 2011.
Victor Hedman (Tampa Bay Lightning) was the team captain at the Four Nations national-team tournament last year. Landeskog was not there then.
Hedman will be an assistant team captain alongside Erik Karlsson (Pittsburgh Penguins) for the Olympic tournament.
