The Social Democrats have filed a new KU complaint against Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) over the Landerholm affair, according to Dagens Nyheter.

The report to the Riksdag's Constitutional Committee (KU) focuses on social media posts that Kristersson's staff helped former national security advisor Henrik Landerholm write.

KU wonders to what extent politically appointed press secretaries usually assist non-political officials, that is, Landerholm, and who assigned him to help write the posts.

The affair is already being investigated by the Swedish Criminal Court, but the KU review is paused because, according to the Tidö parties, there is no final judgment.

Landerholm disclosed secret documents, Attunda District Court found in September 2025, but he was acquitted because the act was not considered grossly negligent.

The verdict has been appealed and a new hearing is not expected until 2027.
