The independent Swiss research institute CIES Football Observatory has just released its list of the most valuable players in the world.

Not unexpectedly, it is topped by Barcelona's 17-year-old starlet Lamine Yamal. The Spaniard, who will turn 18 next month and recently extended his contract to 2031, is valued at 402.3 million euros, equivalent to around 4.4 billion kronor.

He is followed closely by Norwegian Erling Braut Haaland, Manchester City, and Englishman Jude Bellingham, Real Madrid. However, both are far below Yamal's valuation: 239.6 million and 233.8 million euros respectively.

Three Swedish players make it into the top 100.

Alexander Isak, Newcastle, is found at number 20. He is valued at 103.1 million euros, just over 1.1 billion kronor.

The other two Swedes are Viktor Gyökeres, Sporting Lissabon (67) who is valued at 70.8 million euros (around 775 million kronor) and Hugo Larsson, Frankfurt (77) who is valued at 67.5 million euros (around 740 million kronor).
