According to the newspaper, Yamal's thigh injury also makes it uncertain whether the winger will play in Spain's second group match against Saudi Arabia.

However, he will be able to play in the final group game against Uruguay.

The situation is clearer regarding teammate Fermin Lopez. A foot injury has forced the attacking midfielder to undergo surgery.

"Lopez suffered a fracture in his metatarsal. He will have to undergo surgery," Barcelona said in a statement.

Fermin Lopez has been a regular at Barcelona for the past two seasons and has made seven appearances for Spain.
