Lamb meat from the brands Svea country meat and Taste of Gotland is being recalled as salmonella has been found in limited batches.

The recalls concern Svea country meat's 500-gram packages with best-before dates of March 11 and 14, sold at Lidl, as well as Taste of Gotland's 500-gram packages with best-before dates of March 11 and 12. They have been removed from the store, and customers who have purchased the product are urged to return it.

Salmonella can pose a health risk, but the bacteria die when heated to around 70 degrees.
