“Kuwaiti air defences are currently combating hostile missile and drone attacks as a result of heinous Iranian aggression,” the Kuwaiti military wrote on X overnight.
On Thursday, Iran's military said drone and missile attacks had targeted US satellite communications systems, equipment depots and fighter aircraft hangars in Kuwait. In the United Arab Emirates, bases housing US forces and radar systems were reportedly attacked.
Iran's attacks came despite threats from US President Donald Trump of further strikes. In addition to military action, the US has said it will strangle Iran's economy and has threatened sanctions on its trading partners.
Iran has attacked targets in several countries in the Middle East in recent days, in response to US attacks on Iran.
