"The Kuwaiti air defence is currently combating hostile missile and drone attacks as a result of heinous Iranian aggression," the military writes on X.
Iran has attacked targets in several countries in the Middle East in recent days in response to US attacks on Iran. However, it is unknown whether the US carried out attacks overnight Thursday.
