The Parliamentary Ombudsman (JO) criticizes Kumla prison, reports SVT Örebro. The inmates have not had guaranteed access to TV channels from SVT and TV4.
When the remote controls in the cells have run out of batteries, the inmates themselves have been forced to pay for the batteries. Previously, the institution covered the cost, but stopped when the inmates used the batteries for other electronics.
After the criticism, however, the institution will resume providing the batteries.
