The interest so far this year to see the national team at Strawberry Arena has – with some exception – been lukewarm.
No longer.
The autumn's positive trend is reflected in the number of sold tickets for the match against Slovakia in the Nations League.
If Sweden wins, everyone will be happy. We do it together. It's incredibly fun to play in front of the Swedish people, family, and friends, says Kulusevski.
Injury-free squad
Jon Dahl Tomasson has an entirely injury-free squad to choose his starting eleven from. He reveals nothing about how he thinks around it, but it's obvious he must give a place to Alexander Isak, back after the toe injury that stopped him from the 2–2 match against Slovakia in October.
Additionally, Victor Nilsson Lindelöf is up to speed again after getting playing time in Manchester United.
Tomasson emphasizes the collective before the decisive match.
It's important to be clinical in both ends and in decision-making. We're still a young team, and it goes up and down, but we need to reach a level where we perform maturely, says he.
What I can promise is that a team that plays a final will come out. This team has done many good things and has qualified for the final. We shouldn't be nervous, we should enjoy and play the football we've been doing for a while.
Dejan Kulusevski agrees.
It's just football. That we get to play this is fantastic. You shouldn't think about pressure, because there's no pressure. There are other people who experience pressure, who have it tough in life.
We should just go out and do what we love. That's the focus. It's mostly joy. It'll be a long wait, but when it's finally time, it's just about letting loose, says he.
Can handle
Centre-back and captain Victor Nilsson Lindelöf was back in the national team in October, but had to settle for a 30-minute-long substitute appearance in Bratislava and didn't play at all against Estonia in Tallinn.
I always want to play, but I knew I couldn't play two 90-minute matches. My job was to help if I was needed. Now I've played again, and it's a new situation.
He sees no problems with going into a three-man defense.
I've done it a bit. It's nothing I'm not used to or can't handle, says he.
