Injured national team star Dejan Kulusevski, 25, confirms to Viaplay that he most likely will miss the entire World Championship qualification in the autumn. If everything goes according to plan, I will be back in 2–3 months, he says.

Kulusevski was forced to operate on his injured knee in May. The rehabilitation time turned out to be long, but he may be back in play before the year is over.

On the other hand, the likelihood that he can participate in the last qualifying matches is small. The qualifying rounds end with the matches against Switzerland and Slovenia on November 15 and 18.

Recently, Tottenham made the decision not to register him in the club's squad for the Champions League.

Right now, Kulusevski is with the national team in a leadership role. Ahead of this evening's qualifying premiere against Slovenia in Ljubljana, he says:

We have some players who are missing, but we must not underestimate Slovenia who reached the European Championship quarterfinals last year. It's "juggar" at home. It will be incredibly tough, we have to play like men.
