Nordfeldt was part of Sweden's squad for the World Cup this summer. In the tournament, the 37-year-old was trusted to start the first two group-stage matches, but then he was dropped.
During the autumn, it had been unclear whether Nordfeldt would continue with the national team. When national team coach Graham Potter presented the squad for the Nations League in September and October, Nordfeldt was not included.
Now the goalkeeper announces that he is ending his international career.
"It's the greatest thing you can do in football. I'm incredibly grateful and it's been a fantastic honour to represent our country," he tells TV4.
