The film is described as a twisted romantic comedy about love, betrayal, money and the art of daring to trust someone again. It is about a woman who is left by her husband overnight after twenty years of marriage, but who in the same stroke also wins 440 million kronor.
"True love is about letting your guard down and risking getting hurt again, even if you're so damn burned you can't even get up. About daring to trust that you're actually good enough as you are," Haag says in a press release.
Filming begins in October and the film will premiere next year.
Martina Haag made her directorial debut in 2025 with "There's Something Wrong".
