"She developed cold symptoms last night (Friday) and unfortunately had to cancel this year's Tour. Kristine is on her way home now," said national team doctor Ove Feragen in a statement.
Kristine Stavås Skistad started the Tour de Ski with a victory when she won the opening freestyle sprint in Dobbiaco last weekend. However, at Thursday's 20-kilometre classic pursuit start, she was the slowest of all 69 skiers.
Previously, national teammates Kristin Austgulen Fosnæs and Astrid Øyre Slind have withdrawn from the Tour.
