Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson writes on X that he welcomes the US President Donald Trump's decision to send more advanced weapons to Ukraine, and that Trump increases the economic pressure on Russia.

The weapons to Ukraine will be financed by Nato and sent to Ukraine via other member countries, including Sweden.

Kristersson writes that Sweden, together with other Nato allies, will continue to contribute with "fast and significant" deliveries to Ukraine.

"The faster we gather our forces to force Russia to end the brutal war in Ukraine, the more lives can be saved", writes Kristersson.
