It is important that Iran does not develop nuclear weapons, believes Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson. ”It is also important that the spiral of violence in the Middle East is stopped”, he writes on X.

The Government is closely following the developments after the US attacks on Iran's nuclear weapons program, according to Ulf Kristersson (The Moderate Party).

"De-escalation, restraint and a return to talks and diplomacy are now of the utmost importance. The Government has close dialogue with our partners and allies", he writes on X.

Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard (The Moderate Party) also urges all parties in the conflict to scale down.

"The consequences are currently difficult to oversee. We are in close contact with our foreign authorities in the region", she writes in a comment to TT.

"A return to talks and diplomacy is now of the utmost importance. All use of violence must take place in accordance with international law", says Malmer Stenergard.
