In a post on Instagram, the Prime Minister writes that a cultural canon can be a key to "open up common Swedish spaces".
"With the Swedish language as a basis, our proud Swedish cultural heritage can unite us. We need more community and togetherness despite the fact that we are all different", he writes.
He writes that some of his favorites have made it into the proposals.
"Extra fun to see some of my personal favorites in this cultural canon, such as 'Det går an' (where a bridge in Strängnäs is important) and 'Utvandrarna' and 'Drottningholmsmusiken'. But also some of our national pride like the right to roam, parental leave and Vasaloppet", writes Kristersson.
