Kristersson says threats against politicians must be taken seriously

If threats are not taken seriously, there could be consequences, he argues.

Otherwise, people will not want to take positions of trust, and their families will not want a mother or father to hold such positions.

Kristersson believes it has long been tolerated that local politicians, who do not have the same security measures as ministers, have been harmed.
