At next week's NATO summit in Ankara, increased capacity for NATO countries' defense industries is on the agenda, among other things.
At a press conference, Kristersson pointed to various export successes for the Swedish defense industry and also mentioned that negotiations are underway with Canada regarding the sale of six Global Eye reconnaissance aircraft from Saab.
More may come in the near future, says Kristersson.
On Thursday, media reports emerged that NATO is planning to replace its fleet of American AWACS aircraft with Saab's Global Eye and that it will be announced in connection with the summit.
When asked what more Kristersson can say about that information, he answers.
Nothing actually. Swedish decisions are Swedish decisions and NATO decisions are NATO decisions.
