Since a car drove into a crowd at a Christmas market in German Magdeburg, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson writes on X:

"Terrible news from Magdeburg tonight. My thoughts are with the victims and their families. We are in solidarity with Germany".

Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen also expresses the same opinion on X.

At least two fatalities have been reported in the incident and around 70 people are injured, including 15 seriously.

France's President Emmanuel Macron writes on X that he is "deeply shocked by the horror" that struck the Christmas market.

"I am thinking of the victims, the injured as well as their loved ones and their families. France shares the German people's pain and expresses its full solidarity."
