On Friday, the Tidö parties announced that they have reached an agreement on the so-called teenage deportations. While waiting for new rules, the Migration Board has paused all decisions, as the changes are moving in a positive direction for young people.
But the announcement does not apply to those who already have a final decision. They must leave the country.
"I think everyone understands that the old law applies until new legislation comes into force," says Kristersson.
Kristersson's call to submit a new application requires those young people to first leave the country within a specified time; otherwise they risk being banned from re-entering.
